Yoga for Flexibility, Yoga for Strength, Yoga for Peace

At Trio Fitness, we understand that a body cannot be strong without flexibility and that is why yoga is such an important part of any fitness program. We incorporate poses into all of our group classes at Trio Fitness to give you total body strength that includes the availability to move freely and safely in your body. In addition to adding a quiet, meditative time at the end of each Trio class to practice poses while increasing flexibility, we offer classes that devote an hour to the most important aspects of the practice with peaceful, lengthening poses that take you gently through your practice with loving kindness. There is a mental aspect of meditation, quieting the mind and getting in touch with your body that can not be substituted.

A good yoga practice can create strength in the body, toned muscles and strong joints when practiced with care. Finding the availability in the body to flow through a class with ease is a great accomplishment. At Trio, we strive to take you gently through your practice to slowly increase your flexibility and availability with strength and length. This practice is a great compliment to our other classes, offering you a well-rounded workout program that can vary significantly on any given day. It is through strength training, cardio training and flexibility training that you will find total body strength, empowering you with the availability in your body to move freely through your day.

It is a healing process of cleansing and toning for the body, mind and senses.Yoga is a self-empowering process which instills in it’s practitioners a confidence and a deep internal knowledge of the subtle workings of our being, both subtle and gross. The postures are arranged in a time tested sequence designed to to specifically align the body and strengthen the nervous system.

Yin Yoga

The Last Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm is a Yin Yoga Class. Yin Yoga is a slow paced class with long holds in poses that reach deep in our Connective Tissue. Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues with the air of increasing circulation and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, yin helps cultivate awareness through inner silence and bring to light a universal interconnecting quality.
